About This Course
Nail and Waxing Technician is a perfect course for students interested in launching a career in the beauty industry but are not interested in hair styling. Students will have an in-depth focus on nails and hair removal. When students are safely and competently able to perform skills, they will be able to practice on each other in a clinical setting. In year two, students will continue to practice and enhance their knowledge and skills with a weekly clinic.
Students Will Learn:
- Natural nail care
- Safety and sanitation
- Bacteriology and infection control
- Manicures
- Pedicures
- Artificial nail enhancement techniques
- Hard and Soft UV gels and acrylics
- Nail Art, Color Theory, and Design
- Anatomy and Physiology of arms, hands, legs, and feet
- Proper hair removal procedures
- Tweezing and Waxing of the face and body
